Christmas Wreaths

Christmas Wreaths

This year I took on the task of making most of the gifts I had in mind for my friends and family.
These wreaths are very easy to create, and have the wow factor when given.

Materials:
  • 16-18 inch foam wreath (I found mine at Michaels)
  • Two rolls of 1-2 inch wide ribbon (I used a solid colour for wrapping the wreath, and a sparkly wider ribbon for the bow)
  • 120 or so medium sized Christmas tree decoration balls
  • Hot glue gun, and glue sticks
  • Various decorations for finishing touches: snowflakes, bells, anything you like

Method:

Step 1: Using ribbon wrap the foam wreath completely. Use pins to keep the ribbon in place. This way the back of the wreath and any spots visible through the balls will display the colour of the ribbon.
Step 2: Using a hot glue gun begin sticking the Christmas balls to the outside of the wreath first, next glue the Christmas balls to the inner circle.
Once these two areas are complete I took the time to arrange the rest of the balls on top of the outer and inner circles in order to ensure there was a pattern throughout the wreath.
Step 3: Glue the rest of the balls to the wreath
Step 4: Create and glue a ribbon on the the wreath. Check out this video on youtube to learn how to create a lovely bow with any ribbon of your choice.

Happy gifting!

Welcome

The first post... how intimidating.
I have been thinking on creating a blog to share my favourite things for some time now and, as life will bring you the things you think about, I've been tasked with creating a blog as a part of a course I am participating in. So here it is, here I am.
My hope for this space is that I will be able to chronicle and inspire myself and others through the things, crafts, projects, thoughts, and readings I find inspiring. The things worth sharing.
Hopefully a happy blogger,
Victoria
